Studio Head

professor Ing. architect Ivan Kroupa
born in 1960 in Kolín; 1980-1985 - studies at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague; 1986-1989 Interprojekt Praha; 1989-1990 scolarships in London, Paris, Barcelona; since 1990 he runs his own architecture office; 1992-1993 Schloss Solitude Academy in Stuttgart; 2002-2004 director of a studio at the Design Institute I, 2004-2007 director of the Design Institute IV at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He has designed a number of villas and family houses (e.g. in Mukařov in 1998 and 2000; Černošice 1998, 2003; Vrané nad Vltavou 2000, 2003; Chomutovice), he also participated in designing the cemetery in Třebechovice pod Orebem 1994, the Litografie Karmášek in České Budějovice in 2003 and the DOX centre of contemporary art in 2002-2008. He also creates interior designs: the Bílý orel club in Prague, 1992; the Czech Centre in Paris, 1997; the library at the monastery in Jablonné v Podještědí, 1998; the BB Centre reception, Prague, 1999; the Czech Embassy in Madrid, 2000; Dawson Film Production, 2000; the entrance hall and bookshop at the Veletržní palác of the National Gallery, 2000; Czech Embassy in Budapest, 2003; furniture from the period 1995-1998. He gives lectures in the Czech Republic and abroad, organizes exhibitions (Modern Columbian Architecture at GJF, Prague 2007, student project exhibitions in Brno, Kutná Hora, Ostrá, at the headquarters of the Municipal Authority of Prague 8, DOX, Prague).

Assistant

Ing. Arch. Jana Moravcová
Born in 1976 in Poprad, she grew up in Česká Lípa. After the high school, in 1995-2005, she studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, her final thesis was titled "The Possibilities of Development of the Old Town, Malá Strana and Hradčany - New Media Gallery". In the meantime, she also studied at the Faculty Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, 2000; École d´architecture de Nantes, 2002 and at the digital media studio at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, 2003-2004. Currently, she is studying in the PhD. program, her topic being the presentation of architecture. She worked as architect with Ivan Kroupa architekti 2003-2006, Erick van Egeraat associated architects, 2006-2008 (at the Prague office, with a fellowship in Rotterdam in 2006, and London in 2008). Since 2000, she has also worked as a freelance architect.  She designed her own projects in the Wenceslas Square (competition - award winner together with Michal Bernart and Jan Bradáč), a farm near Mělník, refurnishing of a flat U Zeleného ptáka (production), a town house in Dobřís (competition in cooperation with Tomáš Zmek), a block of houses in Dolní Libchava (engineering, project study), the Mezírka house (project study), park house Klatovy (competition in cooperation with Tomášem Zmek).
